People surf TE's to get traffic first and foremost - not to join MLM or AFF programs. Remember, a downline in Traffic exchanges serves 2 purposes - members who are surfing for you constantly and members you can promote to for years to come.
Selling your programs in TE sites is like setting up a fruit stand on the Highway - very few people are going to stop to buy your stuff. But what if you put up a sign that says

That would certainly get heir attention.
SO, HERE'S THE GAME PLAN:
Pick one or two of your favorite MLM or Aff Programs and devote 25 - 50% of your credits to these URLS. The rest should be used for building downlines or for caprure pages that bring people to your lists. You probably won't survive for long on the 'Net unless you build a list or downlines where you can get the attention of your readers for many years to come.
